Sport Relief has officially begun at PPL.  Staff have been fundraising already today through cake sales and raffles.

Sport Relief took over at PPL when staff diligently operated a dedicated call centre until midnight to take donations and pledges for the charity.

Now in its 24th year, the SXSW Music and Media Conference has grown into the must-attend networking event for the 21st century music industry.

Fundraising is seriously underway at PPL in the run up to Friday’s Sport Relief.  PPL is one of the official call centre’s on the night and nearly 100 staff will be giving up their free time on Friday evening to take donations and pledges.

PPL are thrilled that MOBO nominated Grime artist Bashy will be officially opening PPL’s Sport Relief evening on Friday March 19th.

Up to now, PPL has at its discretion operated a policy of seeking to distribute monies to members relating to sound recording usage from as far back as 1996 (or in respect of record company members, from the date of joining PPL). This has previously applied even where income relates to usage falling outside the six year statutory limitation period.

We are pleased to announce that claims for 2009 tracks with high airplay (evidence needed from performers in order to claim) will now be open earlier than ever before.

Volunteers from PPL will be manning the phones for this year’s Sport Relief.

PPL staff have selected their company charity for 2010.
