Monthly International Distribution Figures Announced

The popularity of music created by PPL’s registered performers and record company members means that their sound recordings are among the most broadcast and publicly performed tracks around the world.

Fortunately, a large number of these countries ('territories') run equivalent organisations to PPL. PPL has deals with some of these organisations which means our performer and rights holder members receive royalty payments for performances of their work in these territories.

International revenues are distributed on a monthly basis and within 90 days of receipt of money. In January 2010 the PPL distribution was as follows:

Performer:

  • GVL ( Germany ) - £353,000  Costs 7%
  • AIE ( Spain ) - £432,000 Costs 7%
  • Raap ( Ireland ) - £220,000 Costs 4%
  • Gramex DK ( Denmark ) - £91,000 Costs 4%
  • SwissPerform ( Switzerland ) - £670,000 Costs 7%
  • Sami ( Sweden ) - £612,000 Costs 7%
  • SoundExchange ( USA ) - £254,000 Costs 10%
  • Sena ( Netherlands ) - £20,000 Costs 4%

 

Record Company:

  • Gramo ( Norway ) - £171,000
  • PPI ( Ireland ) - £30,000
  • Avla ( Canada ) - £3,000
  • SoundExchange ( USA ) - £337,000

Total distributed = Circa £3,200,000
